The upcoming title will be the eighth main installment in the Hitman series and the final installment in the World of Assassination trilogy, following Hitman and Hitman 2. Considering the game on Nintendo Switch will be running via the cloud, the following caveats were given in the trailer, “Footage representative of visual quality under optimal conditions. Persistent high-speed internet connection required.”

You can see the trailer at the 10:31 mark in the video below.

Though there wasn’t a release date at the end of the trailer, we do know the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Hitman 3 will release on January 20, 2021. There will even be a free, next-gen upgrade to PS5 and Xbox Series S/X. If it follows the same pattern as the Control Ultimate Edition Cloud Version released on October 28, 2020, then it will be free download and experience a trial, with people then able to purchase access after seeing if it will work to their satisfaction.

Created and published by IO Interactive, Hitman 3 Cloud Version will launch on Nintendo Switch. No release window was given.
