Hisuian Zorua and Zoroark Pokemon Formally Introduced

In Pokemon Legends Arceus, Hisuian Zorua and Zoroark will make their debut. Now, Nintendo and GameFreak offered more details about these forms of the characters. While normally Dark type Pokemon, in the new game they will be Normal/Ghost types. They will also be the inspiration for one of the two early purchase bonuses–the Baneful Fox Mask.

These two new versions of Zorua and Zoroark first appeared in a “found footage” trailer. “Professor Oak” then fixed it.

Hisuian Zorua is known as the Spiteful Fox Pokemon. The lore stated that Zorua died after fleeing persecution and heading to Hisui. Once there, it decided to use its spiteful mimic abilities to get revenge.

As for Hisuian Zoroark, it’s the Baneful Fox Pokemon. Like the Zorua, it’s also driven by spite and known for mimicry. However, the official site noted it can be devoted to “family.”

Here’s a trailer looking at both of them.

As for the Pokemon Legend Arceus early purchase bonuses, the Baneful Fox Mask and Hisuian Growlithe Kimono Set are the two items. Both will be Mystery Gift items. If you have the game and play for two hours, you can claim them. The mask looks Zoroark’s face. The kimonos are available for both avatar options.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus will launch on the Nintendo Switch on January 28, 2022. If you buy it by May 9, 2022, you can get a Baneful Fox Mask inspired by Hisuian Zorua and Zoroark and a kimono made with Hisuian Growlithe in mind.
