The second trailer for Made in Abyss season 2 is now available on Kadokawa’s official YouTube channel. It is almost two minutes long and previews what Riko’s adventuring party will get up to. It also teases the opening song, “Katachi.” The show will start airing in July 2022 as part of the Summer 2022 anime season. [Thanks, Game Watch!]
Aside from existing characters from the first season, the trailer also shows new additions to the cast. For example, the trailer heavily focuses on Faputa, who is the Princess of the Narehate and a key person within the 6th layer of the Abyss. The opening for season 2 also plays in the background of the video. Riko Azuna is the singer of “Katachi,” and she previously performed music for series such as Bloom Into You and Boogiepop and Others.
