Tears of the Kingdom Link Amiibo

Here are The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Amiibo Details

Those looking to prepare for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom‘s release on May 12, 2023 might be wondering if they can use their amiibo collection to get some in-game bonuses. Or alternatively, whether it’s worth picking up the new Link amiibo. Well, the good news is that Nintendo confirmed that there will be rewards for using amiibos in Tears of the Kingdom. The bad news is that details are thin on the ground at the moment.

What Nintendo confirmed is that the new Link amiibo will grant weapons, materials and a new glider skin. Several other The Legend of Zelda amiibo will also unlock glider skins, including Zelda and Loftwing (Skyward Sword), Link (Majora’s Mask), and Link [Rider] (Breath of the Wild). The official website also listed bonuses for the amiibos of Link (Ocarina of Time), Link (The Legend of Zelda), Link (Twilight Princess), Toon Link and Zelda (Wind Waker), Link (Skyward Sword) and Bokoblin (Breath of the Wild). While the site states that each amiibo will grant “helpful materials, weapons or paraglider fabrics,” it does not specify which amiibo will grant which bonus. If it works like Breath of the Wild, rewards could be somewhat random.

As well as amiibo, Nintendo also showed off a Tears of the Kingdom themed OLED Switch console, as well as a lamp shaped like a heart container.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom launches on May 12, 2023 for Nintendo Switch.
