Here Are the FFVII Rebirth Confirmed Returning Locations

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth releases next year, but we already know so much about the various places we’ll visit. The game expands to a much larger and more open world far beyond FFVII Remake’s Midgar. Here are all of the different FFVII Rebirth locations we know will be returning in the upcoming second part of this trilogy.

All the confirmed returning locations in FFVII Rebirth

These are the FFVII Rebirth locations we have already seen in trailers before or know are going to be in the game at this time. Note that not all locations from the original game will be featured in the upcoming title, as some will be saved for the final game in the trilogy. For example, we know Wutai has been pushed to the third part.

  • Chocobo Farms: Places where you can tend to Chocobos.
  • Cosmo Canyon: This location appears to be in the game with a cutscene featuring Red XIII’s village’s elder Bugenhagen.
  • Costa del Sol: You’ll apparently be able to ride segway-like Wheelies here at this gorgeous beachside city.
  • Forgotten Capital: This City of the Ancients is confirmed to be the final location players visit in FFVII Rebirth.
  • Grasslands: A massive open region full of verdant lands rich with Mako.
  • Gold Saucer: This amusement park area will feature minigames including the potential return of dancing.
  • Junon: A city where Shinra has a large base. Rufus Shinra and Cloud’s disguise minigame can be both seen here.
  • Kalm: Both the town and its inn showed up in early footage.
  • Midgar: The location from FFVII Remake shows up in a cutscene, but it’s unknown if you can explore it.
  • Mythril Mine: This dungeon appears to be back, complete with the Turks appearance there.
  • Nibelheim: This appears to return in a section with Cloud and Sephiroth. This includes the Shinra Mansion, which looks to be back in a brief Nibelheim scene featuring Vincent Valentine.
  • Sleeping Forest: A glimpse of Cloud and Aerith appeared in early footage.
  • Under Junon: This is a desolate fishing village underneath the core Shinra-ruled city above.

FFVII Rebirth will release for the PS5 on February 29, 2024, and its exclusivity arrangement ends on May 29, 2024.
