Here Are the Best Toys in Neko Atsume 2

There is a wide variety of toys to collect in Neko Atsume 2 for your precious little kitty friends, but which ones are the best? It all really depends on what you’re looking for in the game!

As an idle game, there really isn’t a set goal in Neko Atsume 2 barring seeing and “collecting” all of the cats. It’s a very simple objective with no deadline or anything like that. While toys and goodies that will let you attract a lot of cats at once in the yard is objectively the “best” for that goal, there are other ways to play!

During the first game, for example, my old co-worker and I used to only take pictures of the cats’ X butts. So toys like the cat tower, which are objectively good, weren’t always great for our subjective purposes. This guide will not only include toys that are good for the ultimate goal of collecting all the cats, but it’ll also have toys that are good for alternate play styles.

What are the Best Toys in Neko Atsume 2?

As a note, these are the best toys as of Version 1.0.0. Considering the game is still new and there aren’t as many toys as in the original, Hit Point will likely add more toys in future patches.

  • Burger Cushion: Cat is lying on a comically large burger
  • Cardboard Truck: Cat looks ridiculous
  • Cardboard House: Fits multiple cats; may attract rare cat
  • Cardboard Cafe: Fits multiple cats; may attract rare cat
  • Cowboy Hat: May attract rare cat
  • Glass Vase: May attract rare cat
  • Tunnel (T Piece): Fits multiple cats; cats look ridiculous
  • Twisty Rail: May attract rare cat

As a note, all large toys fit multiple cats. The above ones include large toys that have an additional effect, whether it’s because the cats look silly or it’s because you have a chance of seeing a special friend. Goodies like the Rubber Ball and Scratching Post sometimes let you see the cat’s X butt. So if that’s part of your goal, then you should place them around your yard along with these other ones.
