Here Are the Best Light Cones And Relics For Your Sunday Build in Honkai: Star Rail

Sunday in Honkai: Star Rail is a 5-star Imaginary Harmony character with the potential to become an amazing support character with the right build. Here are the best Relics and Light Cones so that you can make the most of Sunday.

When it comes to what stats he wants, Sunday is very similar to fellow Harmony units Sparkle and Bronya. You’ll want to give him plenty of Crit DMG (since he scales off that when he buffs your attacker), SPD, and Energy Regeneration. You’ll want to give him plenty of Effect RES too, though that’s if you want to run him with the Broken Keel set.

You also need to speed tune Sunday to your DPS, or give him 160 SPD at the minimum so that he can lap them in the turn order. This is so that after your DPS attacks, Sunday can use his Skill to immediately give them another turn. Ideally, Sunday will only have 1 SPD point lower than your DPS. If, for example, you want to run him with Jing Yuan and Jing Yuan has 120 SPD, then Sunday should have 119.

  • A Grounded Ascent
This is Sunday’s signature Light Cone and his best-in-slot. It regenerates his Energy after he uses his Skill and Ultimate, and whoever he uses his Skill on gains Hymn stacks. Hymn stacks can increase their DMG. As well, Sunday gain regain a Skill Point after using his Skill or Ultimate twice. This makes it a good Light Cone for supporting the entire party as well.
  • But the Battle Isn’t Over
If you have this Light Cone, don’t use Bronya, and don’t want or can’t pull for Sunday’s signature Light Cone, I highly recommend this one instead. It increases his Energy Regeneration Rate, as well as recovers a Skill Point after two uses of his Ultimate. After he uses his Skill, the next ally taking action (your DPS, since he pulls them up the turn order) can deal more DMG for a single turn.
  • Earthly Escapade
This is Sparkle’s signature Light Cone, but Sunday can make use of it as well due to him also scaling off Crit DMG. Not only does it increase his Crit DMG, but it increases the party’s Crit Rate and Crit DMG so long as he has Mask. Compared to Sparkle, it’s also easier for Sunday to regain Mask through Radiant Flame stacks.
  • Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds
This is a 4-star Light Cone that you can only get if you pay real money for Nameless Glory. Conversely, this means that you won’t need to gamble for it since you can choose it yourself. Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds is a great generic Harmony Light Cone that randomly boosts the party’s ATK, the Crit DMG, or Energy regeneration Rate every time the wearer starts their turn. While you can’t control which one you get, all of the possible effects are positive enough that it doesn’t really matter.
  • Past and Future
Past and Future is a good Light Cone if you don’t have A Grounded Ascent or But the Battle Isn’t Over, or if you don’t want to give them to Sunday. After Sunday uses his Skill, it boosts the next ally’s DMG. Since Sunday can control turn order with his Skill, this means your DPS will always be the one receiving this buff.

Here are the best Relics and Planar Ornaments for Sunday

  • 4-pc Sacerdos’ Relived Ordeal
The 2-pc effect increases Sunday’s SPD. Meanwhile, the 4-pc effect lets him increase an ally’s Crit DMG after he uses his Skill or Ultimate on them. This matches well with his kit.
  • 2-pc Sacerdos’ Relived Ordeal, 2-pc Messenger Traversing Hackerspace
This is a build that prioritizes Sunday’s SPD. You can also use this if you don’t have enough good Relics for a full set of Sacerdos’ Relived Ordeal. However, I highly recommend trying to assemble a 4-pc rather than relying on this chimera build.
  • 4-pc Messenger Traversing Hackerspace
Like with the above build, this is a good set if you don’t have enough good Relics for a full Sacerdos’ Relived Ordeal build. But you should aim for that instead of using a full Messenger set. With the 4-pc, Messenger not only increases Sunday’s SPD, but it increases SPD for the entire party after he uses his Ultimate.
  • Broken Keel
This is one of the best Planar Ornament Sets for Sunday, and all you need is 30% Effect RES to activate its effect. It increases the Crit DMG of the entire party. Having lots of Effect RES on Sunday is a good idea too, since it can prevent him from succumbing to Crowd Control debuffs.
  • Lushaka, the Sunken Seas
This is a great Planar Ornament Set for Sunday because it increases his Energy Regeneration Rate, as well as increases the ATK of the first character in the team line-up. You simply need to place your DPS in that position.

Honkai: Star Rail is readily available on the PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. You can only pull for Sunday in Honkai: Star Rail when the “Eyes to the Stars” banner is active.
