Squid Game is gearing up to start production on the second season of the massively popular Netflix Korean TV series. With the show finally about to enter production later in 2023, Netflix announced more of the new actors that will be joining the Squid Game Season 2 cast.
There are quite a few stars that will be part of the upcoming second season, and will be joining the few returning cast members from the original hit season.
Meet the Actors in the Squid Game Season 2 Cast
Here is everyone that will be returning for the Squid Game Season 2 cast, in addition to the director Hwang Dong-hyuk:
- Lee Jung-jae: Returning as Seong Gi-hun (main character and player 456)
- Wi Ha-joon: Returning as Detective Jun-ho
- Lee Byung-hun: Reprising his role as the Front Man
- Gong Yoo: Returning as the infamous recruiter
On the other hand, here are all of the new actors that will be joining the cast for the upcoming second season of the Netflix series:
- Park Guy-young: Known for Sweet Home
- Jo Yu-ri: Former member of the pop girl group Iz*One
- Kang Ae-sim: Known for Be Melodramatic
- Lee David: Known for his role in The Fortress
- Lee Jin-uk: Known for Sweet Home
- Choi Seung-hyun: Known for Tazza: The Hidden Card
- Roh Jae-won: Known for Missing Yoon and Ditto
- Won Ji-an: Known for D.P.
- Yim Si-Wan
- Kang Ha-Neul
- Park Sung-Hoon
- Yang Dong-Geun
It’s currently unknown what roles the new additions will be playing in the upcoming season. The release date for the series is also unknown. It was originally set to come out in late 2023, but production won’t begin until later this year. As such, it looks like it won’t release until sometime in 2024 at the earliest.
Squid Game Season 2 will release on Netflix worldwide in the future. No release is known at this time.
