Hellgore is a huge dude who just happens to enjoy blasting demons in Hell, and aims to take the player on a fast, violent, heavy-metal infused journey in FPS Hellbound.
Hellbound pits the player against many, many demonic enemies at the same time as they work their way through the game, tasking them with strafing and staying on the move to stay in the fight. They’ll have some powerful, monstrous weaponry to fight back with, using demonic triple shotguns, beam weapons, and rocket launchers to leave their foes as bloody smears all over the environment.
Hellbound, in taking cues from 90’s FPS’ like Quake and Duke Nukem 3D, offers no auto heal, forcing players to either avoid damage or find health pickups before they’re wiped out. Players can also grab other power-ups to help them survive a firefight, with these giving them temporary boosts to damage, damage absorption, and speed in a pinch.
Hellbound is currently raising development funding on Kickstarter. Players can try out the game’s survival mode to get a feel for its speed and bloody combat through Steam now, though.
