Hear the Dragon Quest: Your Story English Dub in Netflix’s Latest Trailer

It’s been quite a ride for people who wanted to see the Dragon Quest: Your Story English version. First, there was a leaked listing on Netflix for the movie, which retells the story of Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride with a twist. Then, a February 13, 2020 release date was confirmed. Now, the movie has finally arrived and we have a trailer showing how the Dragon Quest: Your Story English dub sounds.

The Netflix Dragon Quest: Your Story trailer is similar to the Japanese ones, only with English voice acting interspersed. All of the main characters’ voice actors have lines their lines imposed over a few scenes, so you can hear what characters like Luca, who is the hero, Bianca, and Flora (Nera) all sound like. There are also, as you would imagine, a few dragons and scenes showing parts of Luca’s adventure. No spoilers are shown.

All Netflix subscribers now have access to Dragon Quest: Your Story on demand. People looking for video game-movie to watch can catch Ni no Kuni now or Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back—Evolution on February 27, 2020.

Dragon Quest: Your Story debuted in Japan in back in August 2019. It ended up getting mixed reviews, largely due to its twist ending. People who watch it on Netflix will be able to choose from English, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish audio options, and English and have Japanese, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, or Traditional Chinese subtitles.
