Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix will allow players to swap back from ABXY to the PlayStation icons. This fact was discovered via a tweet from August when the game was first showcased during Magical Mirai 2019. [Thanks, Resetera via Gold Metal Sonic!]

Back in August, Twitter user @yasyuba uploaded a photo of the instructions that were included with the demo unit, showing that the symbols can be customized between Nintendo’s ABXY options (which are also colored the same way as the Japanese SNES buttons), the PlayStation symbols that have been the standard for previous Project DIVA games, and directional arrows.

That said, the PlayStation symbols are labeled as ‘Arcade’, as the arcade game also used the same symbols for their buttons.

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix releases for Nintendo Switch in Japan on February 13, 2020. The game releases in the West in 2020 for Switch. The ten additional songs coming to Mega Mix will be added to Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone as an additional paid DLC later on. You can check out 91 returning songs from past games here.
