Pre-orders are open for Good Smile Company’s new Hatsune Miku figure with the subtitle “Land of the Eternal,” featuring the Vocaloid idol in traditional Japanese dress. The figure is based on the character’s appearance in key visuals for the Kyoto Nippon Festival held back in 2019. The 1/7th scale figure will cost $298.99 and ship sometime in September 2023. Pre-orders will close on October 6, 2021. [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]
The original illustration was created by prominent artist Rella, most known for their artwork of Hatsune Miku. Adorned on her head are numerous gold accessories as well as two horns and Japanese maple leaves. The accessories and dress in particular were modeled after the Kitano Tenmangu Shrine, at which the Kyoto Nippon Festival was held.
Like the artwork, the figure features dynamic movement incorporated into Miku’s hair, dress, and accessories. Both her hair and the ends of her dress also look to be semi-translucent. The figure also comes with a stand and is almost 10 inches tall. Pre-orders will include a special A4 clear file with the original illustration printed.
