In every Harvest Moon game, players start out with a run-down farm that they need to improve. Harvest Moon: Light of Hope is no different. In a new Facebook developer diary entry from Taka Maekawa, the game’s producer, he goes over how players will find their footing in the newest installment.
After a shipwreck, players’ avatars find themselves on an island ravaged by storms. It is up to them to both clear up the farm and town. When it comes to restoring the town, you will need to collect materials to repair homes and bridges. After bridges are rebuilt, you gain access to new areas, and new people will return to town after their homes are back to normal.
A new video from Natsume shows the Harvest Moon: Light of Hope shows how the rebuilding effort can get started. Sam’s store is the first place you can fix, and the footage shows how the quest begins, materials are gathered, and place restored.
Harvest Moon: Light of Hope is in development for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Rising Star Games will be publishing it in Europe, while Natsume will handle it in North America.
