This is because the team is specifically looking to test how fights work between people on different platforms. He also already brought up two issues people might expect to encounter during this PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC test.

Both of the possible issues Bandai Namco is aware of for the next Tekken 8 Closed Network Test have to do with cross-play. One is that it could take more time to load a match. The game could also crash during a fight because of this. There could also be “synchronization discrepancies.”
CNT1 was very stable because it was a one-platform test;

In this CNT2 test, we want to observe as many examples of problems as possible, so please test without canceling the matching whenever possible.

Previously, Harada discussed other plans for the game following the first Closed Network Test on the PS5. He responded to positive feedback for it, but noted that there could still be times when it would take a while for matches to load.
Tekken 8 will come to the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the next Closed Network Test will be held July 28-31, 2023.
