Last night I played a little bit of Metal of Honor Vanguard for the Wii. Like the other Metal of Honor games it is set in World War II and you are on the side of the allies. The mission started with a group of soldiers jumping out of a plane and you see the jump from the player’s perspective. After entering the battlefield you use the remote to aim and the analog stick on the nunchuck to move around. You can use the C button to crouch down and get behind boxes for cover, but in the first level it wasn’t necessary. I’m not sure if EA tuned the difficulty down in the demo, but you could easily run up and shoot a group of soldiers and barely take any damage. Medal of Honor Vanguard might not be revolutionary, but it might settle the appetite of FPS gamers who own a Wii when it comes out later in March.
