With nothing more than a research note from her father, Vivian sets out through haunted castles, golden fields of wheat, and moonlit towns filled with hostile dead in The Vagrant, a hand-painted action RPG.
Vivian will face many different foes and bosses in this sidescrolling adventure that seems heavily inspired by Vanillaware’s titles. She’ll have access to several different weapons and armor sets, as well as an array of various skills players can choose from to customize how she carves her way across the countryside. Crafting and enchanting will also further allow players to create just the right equipment for their playstyle.
Players will find themselves heading towards one of multiple different endings depending on how they play through the six stages of this traditionally-animated adventure, although the developer does not go into detail on what sorts of decisions and actions the players will undertake to access different endings.
Players interested in the visually-striking action of The Vagrant can get it now on Steam.
