Developer HAL Laboratory, the maker of the Kirby series and BoxBoy series, celebrated its 40th anniversary on February 21, 2020. The company was established in 1980, and boasts people like late Nintendo President Satoru Iwata and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Director Masahiro Sakurai as some of its former employees.

Some of the company’s more famous games include Kirby Super Star, Super Smash Bros., Kirby’s Return to Dreamland, and even Earthbound (Mother 2; developed together with Ape Inc.) The studio also developed both SimCity on SNES and SimCity 64, as well as a multitude of underrated titles like Metal Slader Glory and the Picross 3D series on DS and 3DS.

Key HAL Laboratory staff came together to draw a cute picture with many of their lovable characters, including Lolo and Lala from Eggerland Mystery, the UFO from Part-Time UFO, and Rabbit and Turtle from Kame Sanpo. The latter two games stem from their comparatively new HAL Egg self-publishing brand.

HAL Labs is currently holding a giveaway on Twitter where winners can receive folders designed by the company, featuring all three of the company’s previous logos. You just need to follow the Twitter account and retweet the post in order to get a chance to be one of ten lucky winners. The campaign lasts until March 10, 2020.
