Gurren Lagann VS Kill la Kill Exhibition Will Launch in July 2024

Studio Trigger has revealed that it will help Aniplex hold a series of crossover exhibitions featuring Gurren Lagann and Kill la Kill. Officially titled “Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann VS Kill la Kill Exhibition,” it will be held at four Parco department stores across Japan throughout the latter half of 2024. The first event will appear in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, in July 2024.

These exhibitions will feature not only displays of artwork from both anime titles but also sales of exclusive merchandise. In addition, it will have guide voiceovers by Gurren Lagann‘s Kamina and Kill la Kill‘s Ryuko. The voice actors Katsuyuki Konishi and Ami Koshimizu will provide new voiceovers based on their respective characters.

People who want to enter the exhibitions will have to pay 1,800 yen (~$11.40) to gain access. An exception will apply to elementary school students and younger children, who can enter for free. However, they must be accompanied by older guardians who must get the paid tickets.

Here is the full schedule for the exhibitions:

  • Ikebukuro Parco Factory – July 12-29, 2024
  • Nagoya Parco Square – August 3-12, 2024
  • Fukuoka Parco Factory – September 20, 2024, until October 6, 2024
  • Sapporo Parco Space7 – December 6-15, 2024

This crossover is made possible because Aniplex was involved in the production of both titles. Trigger is the anime studio that worked on Kill la Kill. Meanwhile, Gurren Lagann was made by Gainax, which had gone into bankruptcy recently in June 2024.

The Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann VS Kill la Kill Exhibition will kick off at the Ikebukuro Parco Factory in Tokyo on July 12-29, 2024. The event will also appear in Nagoya in August 2024, Fukuoka in late September 2024, and Sapporo in December 2024.
