As of Sunrise’s Japanese announcement, only the respective official Japanese X accounts for Netflix and Prime Video have confirmed the addition of this movie. It is yet to be known whether other countries and regions with access to the platforms will also get Gundam SEED Freedom on the same day or not.

The movie was available to watch in Japanese theaters from January 26, 2024, until May 23, 2024. It broke the 1 billion yen mark within the first three days after release. In its recent announcement, Sunrise added that the movie had grossed 4.82 billion yen (~$30.69 million) with around 2.88 million tickets sold in Japan as of May 22, 2024.

Gundam SEED Freedom has also broken the record as the most-grossing Gundam movie in Japan. The previous holder was the 1982 compilation movie Mobile Suit Gundam III: Encounters in Space with 2.3 billion yen recorded.

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom will be available on Netflix and Prime Video in Japan on June 8, 2024.
