Bandai Namco announced that service for Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans G will end on January 11, 2024. The mobile game launched for Android and iOS devices in November 2022 in Japan.
The announcement was made on the game’s social media, as well as through its official website. Producer Yasunori Fujiwara and the development team thanked fans for their support, and announced that sales of paid in-game currencies, as well as sales of monthly subscriptions passes finished at the same time of the announcement. However, the in-game effects of the monthly passes will be valid until their expected expiration.
The game includes an exclusive chapter titled Iron-Blooded Orphans Urðr Hunt that is set between the first and second season of the original anime series, and it features a new character and protagonist called Wistario Afam.
Fujiwara announced that Wistario’s story in Urðr Hunt will conclude with the second part of Episode 12. More information will come at a later date. Furthermore, Side Stories content will conclude with “Almiria in Love” which released on August 8, 2023. All six side stories will release for a short period of time from December 1, 2023 and until end of service.
Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans G was originally announced on September 2019 and expected to release within the same year. After a period of silence, the game received a Spring 2022 release window, but would eventually release in Japan on November 15, 2022. The game remained exclusive to Japan.
Service for Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans G will end on January 11, 2024. Sale of in-game currencies and subscription passes ended on October 31, 2023.
