Gundam Game Fest 2022 Stream Will Be Held Next Week

A Gundam Game Fest is about to appear and, as someone might expect from the name, it will cover all sorts of current and upcoming Gundam games. On May 26, 2022, people will be able to watch a showcase at 3 p.m. PT/6 p.m. ET/12 a.m. CET. Folks can tune in on both Twitch and YouTube. Only three games are confirmed for the event, though “reveals” are promised.

One of the titles that will be shown off is the Overwatch-like FPS Gundam Evolution. This essentially makes each type of mobile suit a specific “character.” The 6v6 title will have 12 mobile suits at launch. Microtransactions will be available. It is expected to appear in 2022 on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. This presentation could mean we’ll get a release date for it.

The second of the Gundam games at the event will be Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2. This is currently available on the PS4 and PS5. However, a PC version of the game is in the works. It doesn’t have a release date yet, but there was a network test in April 2022. Like Gundam Evolution, this showcase could lead to a release date announcement.

Finally, there’s the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC game SD Gundam Battle Alliance. That will be at the event and show off how things will go when the chibi versions of mobile suits fight. We haven’t heard much about it since February 2022, so this could go over characters, Mobile Suits, story details, and online multiplayer possibilities. It is expected to launch in 2022.

Gundam Game Fest will be held at 3 p.m. PT/6 p.m. ET on May 26, 2022. (That’s 12 a.m. CET on May 27, 2022.)
