Bandai Namco will add Amuro Ray’s Dijeh from Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam as a playable mobile suit in Gundam Extreme Vs. 2 XBoost on June 29, 2021. This addition will bring the playable mobile suit amount in the latest arcade release to 201. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

Gundam Extreme Vs. 2 XBoost launched in March 2021 with a large roster of 198 playable mobile suits. Bandai Namco added Athrun Zala’s Justice Gundam from Gundam SEED in April 2021. It then began a month-long Extra G Challenge campaign throughout June 2021, allowing players to unlock Duo Maxwell’s Gundam Deathscythe Hell from the Gundam Wing TV show by collecting in-game medals. By that point, XBoost technically had its 200th playable mobile suit.

The series’ latest console release on PlayStation 4 — Gundam Extreme Vs. MaxiBoost ON — has 186 playable mobile suits in total. The original arcade version had 183 mechs as of its final update. Bandai Namco added Tatsuya Yuuki’s Zaku Amazing and Klim Nick’s Montero, which originally debuted in Extreme Vs. 2, to the PS4 port. Although Bandai Namco attempted to implement post-launch additions in Gundam Versus, Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex is the only mobile suit that players can add with DLC in MaxiBoost ON.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. 2 XBoost is immediately available in arcades in Japan.
