At a quick glance, Happy Chaos’ play style may remind you of Elphelt Valentine from the Guilty Gear Xrd series. However, the new character will have more features to distinguish himself. He will have a unique Concentration gauge that depletes as he continues aiming and shooting his gun. He can also use the Scapegoat move to generate a decoy by sacrificing some of his HP. Landing a Curse ball on the opponent will let him increase his firing accuracy.

Happy Chaos’ tension-consuming Overdrive moves will let the player recover his gauges instantly. Super Focus will fully replenish his Concentration gauge, while the Deus Ex Machina attack will have him instantly reload his gun to full capacity.

In mid-November 2021, Arc System Works revealed Happy Chaos as the third Guilty Gear Strive DLC character. The company will place him right in the middle of the first season pass. Goldlewis Dickinson was previously added in July 2021, followed by Jack-O in August 2021. The remaining two characters for the same season pass will appear in 2022.

Guilty Gear Strive is immediately available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. Happy Chaos will appear as a DLC playable character on December 3, 2021. Those who have purchased the Season Pass will gain early access to him on November 30, 2021.
