According to a post-launch roadmap revealed in June 2021, the first DLC character will be available within July 2021. The character will also become playable for the first time in the Guilty Gear series.

The roadmap also provided more details on the first Guilty Gear Strive season pass schedule. In August 2021, Arc System Works will add the second DLC character returning from prior series titles. The remaining three characters included in the same season pass will come in Fall 2021 and beyond. Future updates will also include another story and a couple of new battle stages.

Arc System Works released Guilty Gear Strive in early June 2021. It sold over 300,000 units of the fighting game during its launch week. In addition to Evo Online 2021, Arc System Works will hold its own Guilty Gear Duel Online Tournament on July 22-23, 2021. It also worked with other companies to release character-based merchandise items, such as a figure of May and perfumes of Sol and Ky.

Guilty Gear Strive is immediately available worldwide on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. Arc System Works is also preparing to release the fighting game in Japanese arcades.
