Previously, Arc System Works announced that the early access would contain a portion of the launch content. Had the game been released as planned in April 2021, the early access version would not include Anji Mito, I-No, or online modes. However, due to Guilty Gear Strive‘s delay in June 2021, the company decided to make all launch content available during early access as compensation for the delay.

The early access version will be available to players who ordered the physical Ultimate Edition or the digital Deluxe Edition on PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5. Arc System Works will only support cross-play between the two PlayStation consoles despite the game being made available on PC and arcades as well. Those who do have early access will need to download and install a day-one patch for the game to work properly.

Guilty Gear Strive will be officially available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam on June 11, 2021. The Ultimate and Deluxe editions will release for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 three days earlier, on June 8, 2021. Early Access begins on June 8, 2021.
