Digital pre-orders of Guilty Gear: Strive for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 will give consumers access to the next open beta test one day earlier. The date for this open beta test, also known as the “Advanced Trial Version,” will be announced at a later time. Additionally, any digital pre-order of Guilty Gear: Strive will give consumers access to the open beta test, as it will not be restricted by pre-order version. This means Standard, Digital Deluxe, and Ultimate version pre-orders will grant access to the open beta. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
Other pre-order bonuses include special color schemes for Ky Kiske and Sol Badguy. This special color scheme not only changes the color palette of the respective character, but will also include unique color effects to their attacks as well.
Cross play will be available for Guilty Gear: Strive. However, it will be limited to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of the game. Additionally, consumers who have purchased Guilty Gear Strive for the PlayStation 4 through the PlayStation Network store will be able to upgrade their copy to the PlayStation 5 version for free.
Guilty Gear: Strive will release on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC on April 9, 2021. The Ultimate Edition and the digital-only Deluxe edition will be available on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on April 6, 2021.
