Ivy Games has announced that its physics-based and Super Mario Galaxy-esque platformer Gravity Ghost is due to be released for Windows, Mac, and Linux on January 26th 2015.

A new story teaser trailer has been released to mark the announcement that you can watch here.

Gravity Ghost is a soothing and rather cute game that follows a young girl as she explores a shattered galaxy to rescue its survivors by using gravity to soar around planets to collect stars. You’ll gain power-ups and terraforming abilities as you progress, an orbit at a time.

There are also seven magical guardians that you’ll meet and attempt to beat their challenges. Aside from that, as developer Erin Robinson says, “There’s no killing, no dying, and no way to fail. Just hours of blissing out to buttery-smooth gravity goodness.”

Gravity Ghost features voice acting from Logan Cunningham (Narrator in Bastion), Ash Burch, and (Hey Ash Whatcha Playin?), Sarah Elmaleh (from Gone Home). Its dynamic soundtrack is provided by FTL: Faster Than Light composer, Ben Prunty.

You can pre-order Gravity Ghost right now with $5 off the launch day price of $14.99, and you’ll also get an extra copy to give to someone else, too. More information on the game is available on its website.
