Grasshopper Manufacture are known for developing quirky games like Flower, Sun & Rain and No More Heroes, but not for digitally-distributed titles. That’s about to change.
Grasshopper recently signed a co-development partnership agreement with Hungarian studio, Digital Reality, to collaborate on the development of digitally-developed titles. The first game to arise from this partnership is Sine Mora, a side-scrolling shooter with a time-manipulation feature, for Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.
Additional titles are in development, although details on these are unknown as of now.
"We think we can strongly benefit from having an ally such as Digital Reality in the digital publishing realm, who can provide long term online publishing services to its partners, and to gamers," said Grasshopper CEO Goichi Suda.
