People will need to wait a bit longer to try the Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising online beta, as it is delayed. The official Twitter account shared a message from Creative Director Tetsuya Fukuhara noting it won’t appear in May 2023. It also confirmed there will be a closed pre-access beta ahead of the open beta, as a result.
The announcement blamed the Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising online beta delay on multiplayer issues. Fukuhara’s announcement said it was unstable at the moment, and the team needed to focus on that before any test could occur. He followed that by noting the rollback netcode and status would be checked in a “closed pre-access beta,” which people can register for in the future. Once that beta is finished and the team works on the game based on that, there will be the open beta.
Here’s the full statement. Had the online beta gone as planned, players on the PS4 and PS5 would have been able to participate.
