Natsume will be bringing Gotcha Racing, a localization of Arc System Works’ Gacha Racing to the Nintendo 3DS eShop. As the title suggests, the game involves racing toy cards with items acquired from capsule machines. The more you race, the more opportunities you have to spend money on virtual toy vending machines for additional parts.

Gotcha Racing tasks a player with working their way up through six racing grades as they race their cars along 12 different tracks. Do well in Grand Prix races and you’ll be able to purchase more parts for your upgradeable cars. Altering the body,, wheels, and engine change the vehicle’s acceleration, braking, cornering, drifting, and speed stats.

The game also makes use of two of the Nintendo 3DS’ unique features. Play Coins can be spent on special car parts that are not ordinarily found in capsule machines. Also people can race other players via StreetPass to earn additional parts.

The August 27, 2015 eShop update will include Gotcha Racing. A price has yet to be announced.
