Gold Elmenta Weakness in Metaphor: ReFantazio

The Elmenta enemies in Metaphor: ReFantazio are great for earning MAG, EXP, and rare items, and the Gold Elmenta is no exception. However, the key is that all of them tend to have one elemental weakness. Here’s how to beat this one.

What is the Gold Elmenta weakness in Metaphor: ReFantazio?

You’ll start seeing the Gold Elmenta enemies in Metaphor: ReFantazio once you start visiting locations in July and August. Particularly, spots around Port Brilehaven and Virga Island. It essentially looks like a yellow mote, and you can’t defeat one by using attacks in the dungeon. You need to enter a turn-based battle. Using enough attacks on it to stun it before using Squad to start a fight helps, though!

Once you start facing the Gold Elmenta, be ready to defeat it before it runs. Because like all Elmenta enemies, it will take off at the first opportunity. A sure way to fell one in a single turn is to use as many wind attacks as possible. So have Cyc users on hand!

Here’s the status page screenshot I took, showing off its one weakness.

Note that this opponent also has a chance of dropping the Electrifying Drum item, which can deal electric damage when used in a fight, or an Aquamarine you can sell for reeve at a shop.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. There is also a demo available.
