The final incentive Gigantamax Pokemon raid has begun, and it turns out it’ll be around almost a day longer than expected. You can now take part in Gigantamax Meowth Max Raids if you visit the Wild Area’s dens or search for a Max Raid in Pokemon Sword and Shield. And now, it turns out people will have an extra day to try and catch this cat.
Here’s what happened. When the latest round of Gigantamax raids, which started with Pikachu, were announced, the Meowth one was set to start on May 26, 2020, the day Gigantamax Eevee left, and end on June 1, 2020. Now, the official Twitter account confirmed that Pokemon Sword and Shield’s Gigantamax Meowth Max Raid battles will end on June 2, 2020 instead.

As a reminder, if you miss this opportunity, the only way you can get this particular Meowth is via trading. While the Eevee and Pikachu in this event were connected to Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Eevee! save data, the Meowth was an early purchase incentive only given away as a Mystery Gift until January 15, 2020.
Pokemon Sword and Shield are available for the Nintendo Switch. You’ll have your chance to catch this special Meowth until June 2, 2020.
