Earth Defense Force 2025 has armies of giant ants and dragons. That’s right dragons. As you would expect, dragons can fly around and breathe fire. In typical Earth Defense Force style, the game has dozens of dragons for players to fight at once.
Fortunately, players have a walking fortress to fight with. Introducing the BMX10 Proteus, a massive mech that reaches its full power when four players control it. The Ranger and Air Raider soldier classes can drive Proteus, but you cannot fire its weapons without another player controlling the guns. So, you need at least two players to make the Proteus worthwhile and judging by that explosion of ants it looks incredibly powerful.
Earth Defense Force 2025 also has giant spiders and alien mecha to fight. The giant robot in these screenshots may be the walking forcefield robot I saw when I played the game. D3 Publisher has Earth Defense Force 2025 slated for release in February 2014.
