Ready for Ghost of Tsushima multiplayer? Cooperative adventures are on the way. Sucker Punch and Sony announced Ghost of Tsushima Legends. This is a cooperative mode for up to four players that is entirely new and involves original avatars. Also, instead of being historical, the Legends mode will probably feel a little more like Nioh, due to the way it will tap into supernatural elements and folklore. It will launch in Fall 2020.

As revealed on the PlayStation Blog, two to four people will go through different sorts of missions as different, original character classes. People can be an assassin, hunter, ronin, or samurai, and each character has their own role and moveset. If you go into the experience with a partner, you’ll go through Story missions. If you pair up with four people, you’ll fight Oni and enemies in Survival Missions and Raids.

Curious exactly how Ghost of Tsushima multiplayer will work? This brief trailer is mostly cinematic, but it shows a group of four heading through a gate together, then offers a peek at some co-op activities at the one minute mark.

The last major update to the game added the Lethal difficulty and Low Intensity Combat.

Ghost of Tsushima is available for the PlayStation 4. The Ghost of Tsushima Legends mode will debut in Fall 2020 for free.
