At the March 2021 Nintendo Indie World presentation, Konami announced GuruGuru’s GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon for the Nintendo Switch. Now, it confirmed that a GetsuFumaDen PC Early Access phase will begin on May 13, 2021 and include the original Famicom game.
The Early Access reveal also confirmed details about what people can expect from it. That version will cost $24.99 and be available on Steam. In addition to a port of the 1987 Famicom game, people will also get a 30 page digital art book and a 15 song mini soundtrack. However, keep in mind that the port of the Famicom game will be in Japanese and only a PC port is mentioned.
Here’s a full GetsuFumaDen trailer, to give people a better idea of what to expect from the PC Early Access release. It focuses entirely on gameplay, giving people a chance to see the Ukiyo-e art direction, different special abilities, mini-map, and even a few of its bosses.
There are also two character trailers. One looks at Getsu Fuma, the main character.
The other looks at Getsu Renge, who will be released as free DLC for GetsuFumaDen.
GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon and the Famicom version’s port will show up on PCs via Steam Early Access on May 13, 2021. The Nintendo Switch version will launch in 2022. Its official website is now open.
