An Oath to the Stars, a bullet hell shmup where the player’s weapon does more damage as the player moves their ship closer to their opponent, is looking for votes on Steam Greenlight.

An Oath to the Stars will also encourage players to rack up kills quickly, as doing so will fill up the game’s combo meter. The developer, Himeki Games, has not said what this meter is used for by the player.

The developer says the game will be driven by a story of “revenge, friendship, and honor”, with main character Hoshiko being driven by her betrayal at the hands of her closest friend.
