First up is Yuu Abeno, an antagonist character in Akiba’s Trip: Hellbound & Debriefed. He is one of the vampires in the game, which are called the Kageyashi. Next are the mysterious brother and sister Shun and Rei Anekoji. These sibling characters in Akiba’s Trip: Hellbound & Debriefed also play an important role. Players will have to decide whom they want to side with in the narrative, and their choices will add up in the end. The title features branching paths and several different endings to experience.

The upcoming title is a complete rebuild of the first game in the series. Described by XSEED Games as a “beat-’em-up strip-’em-down” with a comical tone, the setting takes place in Tokyo’s nerd central: Akihabara. Additionally, the title will have dual audio for both English and Japanese voice acting. You can check out our previous coverage of the game and its trailers here.

Fans can get a more intimate look at the action RPG’s characters when Akiba’s Trip: Hellbound & Debriefed releases in the West in Summer 2021. The title will launch on Switch, PS4, and PC via Steam.
