Get a First Look at the Darkstalkers Morrigan Bishoujo Statue in May

Back in February 2021, Kotobukiya teased its next Capcom figure, a Bishoujo statue of Morrigan from Darkstalkers. At the time, only concept art of the heroine was shared. Now, there’s a timeline for her full reveal and debut. Kotobukiya announced things will start to kick off on May 8, 2021.

However, this won’t be a one-and-done event. Rather, Kotobukiya plans to spend three months showing the progress of the Darkstalkers Bishoujo Morrigan statue. The May 8, 2021 reveal will first begin with a video reveal of a sculpted prototype. Since this is going to be a first look, it will likely be an unpainted prototype.

Then until July 2021, Kotobukiya will release additional videos of Morrigan. Each one will show the progress of the character before it gets a launch date and is sold.

As a reminder, Morrigan is only one fighter who will be joining Kotobukiya’s Bishoujo statue line in the future. The company also announced some SNK heroines will inspire new figures. There will be people from The King of Fighters ‘98 and SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy in the collection. The company asked for suggestions when it made the reveal.
