Bandai Spirits and Tamashii Nations have released new details about the S.H.MonsterArts collaboration with Monster Hunter, which will feature a new Nargacuga figure. This crossover was originally teased in March 2020. Its creation is being supervised by Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Art Director Kaname Fujioka.

This Nargacuga marks a first for S.H.MonsterArts, as the line has mostly focused on producing kaiju figures of famous monsters like Godzilla. It will also be the brand’s first quadrupedal creature. The figure is glossy, with detailed fur design, gradients and textured pieces. In keeping with the Nargacuga’s wyvern design, its legs will have scaled talons and its wings will feature a muscular design with overlapping scales and knife-like feathered wings that can open and close. Its tail will have sculpted quills and will be articulated in five different places. Nargacuga’s head and neck also feature points of articulation.

Take a closer look at the fierce beast. Keep in mind that this is a prototype and the final version of the figure could look much different. Also note that the final product will come with alternate parts to represent the fact that different parts of monsters can be destroyed in-game.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The S.H.MonsterArts Nargacuga is in development.
