Back in October 2018, we learned D3 Publisher’s otome visual novel, Nightshade, would be released on the Nintendo Switch in Japan and have an English language option. Since then, it has been revealed that it will be getting a worldwide release. Ahead of its December 2018 debut, the opening movie has been made available for all people interested in romancing Sengoku ninjas to see.

The Nightshade opening trailer features Mikoto’s “Gekka no Uta ha Kage yorimo Kuroku.” As an aside, Mikoto also performs the ending theme songs. There are two. If you get a good ending with one of the ninjas, you hear “Taezaru Hana.” Bad endings have “Aoi Sange” accompanying them.

Nightshade will be available on the Nintendo Switch on December 20, 2018. It will be $47.99 on the eShop in North America and £43.19 in Europe. It is immediately available in English on PCs for $34.99.
