Genshin Impact Travel Anniversary Letter Video Stars Amber and Barbara

There’s a new Genshin Impact video out to honor the game’s upcoming first anniversary, and it is hosted by Mondstadt mainstays Amber and Barbara. The Travel Anniversary Letter features the two heroines acting as hosts ahead of some reminders of important things that happened leading up to its release and as it found its footing.

This new Genshin Impact video began with Amber and Barbara talking to “the Traveler” and their adventures. It offered the same sort of the tone as Barbara’s “An Idol’s Healing Magic” segment. After that, it focused on major events leading up to and during the game’s launch and first year. A timeline appeared that started with the June 2019 announcement trailer and ended with some accolades the game received.

Quite a few other early celebration events and videos have come up. For example, miHoYo asked people to submit “wishes” to Paimon ahead of the first anniversary on September 28, 2021. The company also kicked off a number of contests asking people to create game guides, fan art, videos, and cosplay costumes in exchange for various in-game and real world rewards.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices. A Nintendo Switch version is on the way. The first anniversary of Genshin Impact will fall on September 28, 2021.
