Genshin Impact Release Date and Banners for 5.0 Set

As expected from the 5.0 Genshin Impact Special Program, we got the release date and details about which characters will appear during which banners in the new version. The game will update on August 28, 2024, and that means a new Archon Quest and banners with Mualani, Kazuha, and Kachina right away.

First, here’s the special 5.0 Genshin Impact trailer that shows Natlan, hints at the Pilgrimage we’ll experience in the Archon Quest, and highlights the three new characters Kachina, Kinich, and Mualani. It notes that the region is currently under the threat of being invaded by beings from the Abyss that we’ve faced in past story missions. While the Pilgrimage is part of a competition, it also involves collecting flames needed to preserve the Sacred Flame and protect the region.

The first two 5.0 Genshin Impact banners will feature the new Mualani wish and rerun Kazuha banner. Mualani is a five-star Hydro character who uses a Catalyst (and dolphin) when she fights. Kachina, the new four-star Geo character who fights with a polearm, will be available as a focus character on both of those banners as well. Kazuha, as a reminder, is a five-star Anemo character and swordsman. That will be available on August 28, 2024, when the update appears.

Banners in Genshin Impact tend to appear for around 20 days, so we should see the second ones for 5.0 in September 2024. The focus characters will be Kinich and Raiden Shogun. Kinich is a five-star Dendro character who wields a claymore. Meanwhile, Raiden Shogun first debuted when Inazuma appeared, and she uses a polearm.

Genshin Impact is available on the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and the 5.0 update will appear on August 28, 2024.
