People on certain platforms won’t have to wait until the day the Genshin Impact 1.3 update is released. They’ll be able to start getting set up a little sooner. The update itself will be live on February 3, 2021. However, miHoYo said the Genshin Impact pre-installation will be available for the PC, Android, and Apple iOS versions on February 1, 2021.
miHoYo already offered a Genshin Impact pre-installation option before, so we have some idea what to expect. Back in December 2020, it announced PC players would be able to pre-install 1.2 before it launched. As before, it means people can start downloading the update files and preparing ahead of launch. With the PC, that means updating the launcher and choosing to launch the pre-installation.
The Android and iOS pre-install option is now, however. Since you can’t exactly update the app to make it happen, there are two other ways. One is to tap its icon on the login page (with the door). The other is to head to Settings in-game and choose “Pre-Install Now” from under “Other.”
Genshin Impact is available for the PlayStation 4, PC, and mobile devices. Its 1.3 update will arrive on February 3, 2021. It will bring activities like the Lantern Rite and add a Xiao banner. PC and mobile players can start the Genshin Impact pre-installation process on February 1, 2021.
