Genshin Impact Photo Mode Adjustments and Kamera Coming in 1.2

The Genshin Impact 1.2 update will debut this week. While the addition of the Dragonspine area and new characters like Albedo, miHoYo’s official patch notes confirmed some other things are being added. For example, there will be new features in the Genshin Impact photo mode, with a new Kamera gadget among the additions.

The Kamera is the new addition we know the least about. It’s only described as a gadget for taking snapshots in-game. Appropriately enough, you get it after you complete an in-game sidequest called “Snapshots.” Presumably, it will allow you to take pictures of the world and its people from a first-person perspective.

As for the general Genshin Impact photo mode, there will be two changes that might help with your compositions. One will allow you to choose the height of the camera. At the moment, the game only offers zoom options and will automatically remain at a certain height when you enter that mode. There will also be an option to change a character’s expression in a picture. Currently, you can only choose their pose, with three generic poses available for each character.

Genshin Impact is available for the PlayStation 4, PC, Android devices, and Apple iOS devices. A Switch version is on the way. The 1.2 update will appear on December 23, 2020 after a five hour maintenance period. People will get 300 Primogems after maintenance is over and, as usual, if it goes over five hours they will get an additional 60 Primogems per hour.
