How Old Is Furina in Genshin Impact

We’re introduced to the Fontaine Hydro Archon Furina in Genshin Impact, but her age and how old she actually is happens to be quite a spoiler. This is because the previous Hydro Archon was Egeria, who was one of the original Seven, and what happened to her.

So how old is Furina in Genshin Impact?

Editor’s Note: There will be major spoilers for Furina, Egeria, and the Genshin Impact Fontaine storyline below.

So Egeria was originally the Hydro Archon for Fontaine. However, like two other Archons that we know of, she died during the events of Khaenri’ah’s fall and the Cataclysm. That was about 500 years ago during the story.

The interesting part, which also involves the major Genshin Impact spoiler for Furina, is her identity. When Egeria died, Focalors and Furina came to exist. Focalors is the true Hydro Archon and Oceanid made human by Egeria, while Furina was the human portion of her playing the part of the god in Fontaine. Both are about 500 years old by the time the player gets to the region in Genshin Impact

So Furina is a human under a curse from Focalors. She would essentially be long-lived and unable to die so long as the true Hydro Archon existed. Her goal was to play the part of the Archon while Focalors gathered the power to overcome the prophecy that would have doomed some of Fontaine’s people.

However, now that the events of the “Masquerade of the Guilty” Archon Quests are done, Furina is an ordinary, uncursed human. This means that her lifespan will return to normal. So unless some other “happening” occurs, she won’t be around for another 500 years.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices.
