The Genshin Impact Elemental Crucible co-op event has begun! However, it’ll cost you if you want to acquire its various rewards. People have until October 19, 2020 to work with others to help an “alchemical process,” but you will have to have made significant progress in-game and give up 40 Original Resin if you want all of the rewards from the event.

Since this is a co-op event, unlocking multiplayer is a definite requirement. However in its announcement, miHoYo also noted people must finish “One Giant Step for Alchemy” and “reach Adventure Rank 20 or higher and complete all quests in Prologue: Act II – For a Tomorrow Without Tears” if they want to participate.

If they have done both, they can start participating in Elemental Crucible. Once you’ve finished One Giant Step for Alchemy, you can go to Thousand Winds Temple’s Elemental Crucible and work with people to fight enemies for the Elemental Clots they will drop. You can carry up to three Elemental Clots at a time, but they all have to belong to the same element.

As for rewards, you have different items you can earn. The Alchemy Handbook will give you in-game currency like Mora and Primogems. You can also get experience-boosting items, like Adventurer’s Experience, and general experience for yourself and your characters. However, at the end of the activity, Genshin Impact will ask if you want to use 40 Original Resin to ignite the Elemental Crucible and get some of the bonuses.

Genshin Impact is available for the PlayStation 4, PC, and both Android and Apple iOS devices. The Nintendo Switch version is in development. It already earned over $100 million. The Genshin Impact Elemental Crucible event will end on October 19, 2020.
