Genshin Impact Alps Web Event Lighting Ceremony is This Week

Back in December 2021, miHoYo announced a Genshin Impact Alps web event. Real-world ads and decorations were set up at the Val Thorens ski resort in the French Alps. It ended up being part of Enchanting Journey of Snow and Stars and designed to celebrate the Dragonspine area’s first anniversary. Now, to celebrate people’s success in it, there’s another activity. A real-world Genshin Impact Teleport Waypoint will be lit on January 13, 2022.

As part of the Genshin Impact Enchanting Journey of Snow and Stars web event, people were tasked with creating souvenir cards. Each one would have an Alps Illumination Representative. This would be one of the characters from the game. When people did that, real-world ones would be placed at the Alps. The goal was to have a million people take part. This would lead to the Genshin Impact Teleport Waypoint lighting and a performance. However, three million actually participated.

Here’s the official YouTube teaser for the event. It shows the Teleport Waypoint and performers. The musicians are from Orchestre Symphonique Confluences in Lyon, France. It will happen on Twitch first. The video and replay will appear on the official YouTube channel after.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices. It will also come to the Nintendo Switch.
