The Akitsu Kimodameshi event is about to appear in Genshin Impact. When it does, people will get to earn a sword inspired by a yokai. The Toukabou Shigure is a Genshin Impact sword that looks like a kasa-obake, complete with moving eye. People get a chance to take part starting on December 15, 2022.
The Akitsu Kimodameshi was teased at the beginning of the Genshin Impact version 3.3 trailer. A peek at its gameplay appeared at the 2:15 mark. If people are at Adventure Rank 30 and completed both Archon Quest Chapter 2, Act 1’s “Ritou Escape Plan” quest and the Itto story quest’s first act, they can take part. They can then take part in a Test of Courage. Both the Leisurely Pastime and Shatterdark are takes on Breakout. As the initial trailer showed, players will be controlling paddles to hit energy balls to break blocks. There will be six Leisurely Pastime challenges and three Shatterdark ones. To unlock the Shatterdark ones, you need to beat Leisurely Pastime ones first.
There are different sorts of rewards tied to the activity. For completing the Leisurely Pastime and Shatterdark challenges, people get the four-star Toukabou Shigura (Sword) to use in Genshin Impact. They also get Courage Test Tickets, which can be used for the Parasol Talcum to further refine the weapon, Weapon Ascension Materials for it, or a Crown of Insight and other Talent Level-up Materials for characters. The regular challenge rewards also include Hero’s Wit books, Mora, Mystic Enhancement Ores, and Primogems. If someone finishes the Akitsu Kimodameshi quest tied to this event, they also get Hero’s Wits, Primogems, and a Kimodameshi Vivaciousness for their Serenitea Pot.
Genshin Impact is available on the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and the Akitsu Kimodameshi event runs December 15, 2022 through January 2, 2023.
