Sting and Idea Factory said Generation of Chaos 6 wouldn’t use the same Dragon Force style battle system with armies flooding the screen. As seen in these gameplay videos, each fight starts with players selecting an attack then tapping the circle button as if you were playing a rhythm game. The core of Generation of Chaos 6’s strategy system is tied into Impact Circles. You can chain attacks with nearby allies and attack enemies using the same button tapping battle system.

The field part looks interesting since it looks kind of like Knights in the Nightmare with projectiles flying all over the place. Players create paths for heroes to walk in so bullets don’t move as fast. Generation of Chaos VI also has a summon meter (top) which lets you call out characters like a HP restoring fairy.

Generation of Chaos 6 comes out for PSP on June 28.
