Gamescom Opening Night Live Will Feature New Game Announcements

Geoff Keighley announced what games will appearing during the gamescom Opening Night Live 2024 broadcast, which will also feature new game announcements. This includes the likes of Monster Hunter Wilds, Dune Awakening, and Marvel Rivals. The broadcast will take place on August 20, 2024 at 11AM PT / 2PM ET / 8PM CET.

Other games that will appear as part of the gamescom Opening Night Live broadcast are Call of Duty Black Ops 6, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Sid Meier’s Civilization VII. Concerning new game announcements at gamescom Opening Night Live, Keighley did not provide any hints or suggestions as to what those could possibly be or entail.

Additionally, he did not specify if new game trailers or new in-game footage for the confirmed list of games will be featured during the broadcast. So it could be any of the two, or a combination.

Monster Hunter Wilds is perhaps one of the most anticipated titles on the list. Capcom has been slowly sharing more information about the next entry in the Monster Hunter series, which has included a look at the roster of weapons that will appear in the game, alongside monster riding.
